Limited Edition Animal Watches

In creating these designs, I took inspiration from my time working in Borneo with orangutans, and each distinct watch face is a stencil from my own personal collection of photos from the rain forest. Orangutans always made me smile, so what better to watch face to look several times a day to improve your mood?

There are two wildlife watch designs: the Bamboo Orangutan Watch and the Orangutan Portrait Watch. These watch face designs are based on two of the most charismatic animals that I encountered. Click on each watch to get more details, including options for customisable straps.

Why design orangutan watches?

Orangutans are critically Endangered across their range. The reasons for this are plentiful, but the huge proliferation of palm oil plantations, and the creation of agricultural mono-cultures where diverse forests once stood is chief among them.

Conservationists and NGOs try to limit the devastating affects of this in various ways, including the rehabilitation and reintroduction of orphaned orangutans. While this is a difficult and expensive process, there are many inspiring individuals and organisations committed to improving the welfare of the worst affected animals.

One such group is OVAID, with whom I’ve worked with closely. They build veterinary skill and capacity so that orangutan rehabilitation centers can give orphaned animals the very best chance of surviving after release. This collection of wildlife watches supports their wonderful work.

Orangutan Veterinary Aid

Evolve supports the work of OVAID with 15% of profits from every Wildlife Watch sold. OVAID are a small charity that provide in-house training, scholarships, veterinary equipment & medicines to orangutan rescue centers and projects. Their focus on improving veterinary expertise not only improves the individual welfare of ex-captive animals, but when applied across the board, may also help the wider conservation community to sustain recently reintroduced populations.
